Abstract

This study aims to develop the model of the educational media "Man Ana" game to teach Arabic vocabulary, at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta. This research was conducted to solve the problems and difficulties of learning Arabic vocabulary faced by students and help stimulate and promote students understanding of Arabic vocabulary. The method used in this study is the development research method (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research is conducted to find out the needs of the "Man Ana" game or magnetic letter synthesis method to teach Arabic vocabulary to students and teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta, its design, development, and how to implement it, and to know its evaluation. Based on the conclusions of the research data, researchers can conclude the results needs analysis showing that students find it difficult to learn Arabic vocabulary and need interesting learning media to learn Arabic vocabulary. The needs analysis of 22 students showed that 91% of students found it difficult to learn Arabic vocabulary and that 95.5% of students wanted the latest innovations in Arabic vocabulary learning media. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the game learning media "Man Ana" for learning Arabic vocabulary. Development based on validation of what has been done the material experts get the category of "Very Decent" with a percentage of 96% and the results of the assessment of media experts grt the category of "Very Decent" with a percentage of 98%. The evaluation results of trial test, the respons of students to the media get the category of " Very Decent " with a precentage 93% from students.  Thus, the products of the educational media "Man Ana" developed by the researcherer deserve to be used to teach Arabic vocabulary.
